February 2017 holds strong promise of adventure and experience as the Region 9 4-H Programs plan to travel to Des Moines for the annual 4-H Legislative Trip.
On February 28th, Black Hawk (along with Bremer, Buchanan, Butler, and Grundy) County will travel by van to tour the State Capitol Complex, visit with Government Officials, and explore the Science Center of Iowa.
All sixth-ninth grade 4-H members are invited to attend the trip. Space is limited to the first 30 individuals that register across Region 9 Counties.
The best part of the experience? 4-H members can invite and register a non-4-H friend to attend!
If you are a Black Hawk County 4-H member interested in attending, the registration form and fee is due to the Black Hawk County Extension Office during the beginning of February. Once registration is complete a letter will be sent to the participant for permission to miss school during the day of the trip.
For more information and the registration form, please contact 4-H Staff at BHC Extension & Outreach (319-234-6811) or visit the website.
